Karen found the following points the most beneficial parts of Assessment Week:
- Meeting other lecturers from different schools and ideas they brought regarding assessment methods in particular from engineering.
- Audio feedback...how to start this process and tips on how to make this effective for students and how to effectively time manage. I have since began to use this method.
- Peer and self assessment .....in particular students perpective on this method, the main drawbacks and advantages of this method.Students need to understand the learning opportunies and benefits of this method
- Portfoilio assessment, the variety of approaches which can be utilised and the innovative styles which can be created and developed for learning.
